Police and Security Agencies with Tasers
I just read a long and very well written blog entry on One Mans Blog about the abuse of tasers, and quite frnakly watching the videos in the blog post there really pissed me off. Who do these people think they are just using their powers to torture people like that. And this is supposed to be in the “free” world. Like the taser video of a woman held to the ground and then being tasered.
WHY???? Let me answer that real quick - BECAUSE THEY CAN!!!!
Government is letting their police and other security agencies loose in the streets with tasers, and according to John on OMB, these tasers has already caused 200 deaths in US alone. Who is going to stop these maniacs?
John also goes in to detail and with videos as proof on how several people were basically tortured using these government approved torture instruments…

- Police say they will only be used when someone poses a real and immediate risk to themselves, the public or the police.
I say that the police poses a real and immediate risk using those damn things…

OMB can print all the force continuums he wants…what he doesn’t point out is an officer can go from step 1 to the lethal force if needed…he doesn’t have to go through each step…the officer goes one step above the person he is engaging…that means if the officer tells someone to step back and that persons clenches his fists, that is usually an indication he/she wants to fight…instead of getting into a knock down fight, the officer can use the taser…the effects last as long as the timed burst which is 5 seconds…the officer also has the ability to turn the taser off before that 5 seconds…you know, if you are going to talk shit about something, you should know the facts first…the taser is a good tool that allows officers the ability to subdue someone without anyone being seriously hurt…beats getting hit with an asp or baton (no pun intended)…yes, there have been a few deaths but that happens with pepper spray and gunshots…unless you are an officer, you have no idea the stuff they go through…and 9 times out of 10, all the videos you see on the internet only show the tail end of something happening…they rarely ever show what led up to the officers have to use some type of force…

The Government has gone awry! Are you a cop or related to one? Because cops are not our heroes. They are junk in a zoot suit, and get excited when they get to use their toys. A uniform does not give anyone the right to use force through tazering, because it can lead to an adrenalin rush, and the end result could very well be using their guns…as you point out that they don’t have to go through each step. Well, I’m pointing out that they do have to go through each step because that is their job description. And if they can’t do their jobs properly then they need to get out of their own way by getting a different job. Afterall, and yes here we go again, the citizens of this country are paying their wages, they were hired to serve and protect, and they should be fired by doing the opposite. If a cop ever tazed me he would be hoping and praying that he wouldn’t go to prison.

There is nothing that sounds more idiotic than someone trying to justify a persons misuse of power. Thank goodness for you tube and the internet.It lets the world see what “really” happened.
